Xbox Series X|S won't turn on: power supply vs mainboard checks

Contributed by CircuitScope research team · Added 09 Oct 2026 · 1 views

A Series X or Series S that does nothing when you press the power button is usually down to the mains lead, the socket, a tripped internal supply or a failed internal power supply unit; a smaller share are mainboard faults. Work from the outside in: reset and swap the simple things first, then open the console, check or swap the internal PSU, and only then look at the board.
