PS5 HDMI port replacement (no picture / no signal)
A PS5 that powers on to a white light but gives no picture, or only works while the cable is held, very often has a damaged or lifted HDMI socket. The fix is to rule out the TV and cable, confirm the port is at fault, then remove the old socket with hot air and fit a new one. If a new port doesn't cure it, the HDMI controller chip may also be damaged.
