PS5 stuck on blue light / won't boot: first checks

Contributed by CircuitScope research team · Added 09 Oct 2026 · 1 views

A PS5 whose light stays blue (or blinks) and never turns white has usually crashed during start-up, has a software or storage problem, or is short of a good picture connection. Work through the non-invasive steps first: read the light, power-cycle, Safe Mode and reinstalling the system software. Then move on to board-level diagnosis only if those fail.
