About this component

The original Xbox One uses sixteen 4 Gbit DDR3 chips, split between both sides of the board, for 8 GB shared by CPU and GPU (about 68.3 GB/s). The One S swaps to Samsung 4 Gbit DDR3 parts, and the One X uses twelve 8 Gbit SK Hynix GDDR5 chips for 12 GB. All are BGA; memory faults usually show as boot failures or crashes and need BGA rework. Replace like for like, as the board's memory training expects the original density and organisation. Part variants: Original Xbox One: 16 x SK Hynix H5TQ4G63AFR (iFixit). Xbox One S: 16 x Samsung K4W4G1646E-BC1A. Xbox One X: 12 x SK Hynix H5GQ8H24MJR-R4C 8 Gbit GDDR5 (12 GB).

What it does on this board

8GB DDR3 main memory (GDDR5 on the One X).
