Xbox One disc drive not reading or ejecting: laser, drive and paired board Xbox One drives that reject good discs, grind, or won't eject are common. Clean and check the disc first, use the manual eject, then replace the laser or the drive mechanism. Always keep the original drive circuit board, because it's paired to the console's motherboard. by CircuitScope research team · 09 Oct 2026 · 2 Xbox One / One S / One X HDMI port replacement (no signal) Damaged HDMI ports are one of the most common Xbox One family repairs: a knocked or yanked cable bends pins or cracks joints, and the console shows no signal. After ruling out the TV and video mode, replace the port with hot air, then check the filter components and, on the One S and One X, the HDMI retimer chip if the picture still doesn't come back. by CircuitScope research team · 09 Oct 2026 · 2 Xbox One (original) won't turn on: power brick and board checks On the original Xbox One (model 1540) the external power brick is the most common reason the console is dead. Read the brick's light, reset it, and swap in a known-good brick. If a good brick doesn't fix it, look at the console's 12 V input and board. The One S and One X have internal supplies, so this guide's brick checks don't apply to them. by CircuitScope research team · 09 Oct 2026 · 2
