About this component
The MM3218 combines the baseband and RF transceiver that were separate chips on the original DS. It handles DS local wireless play and 802.11b access-point connections on 2.4 GHz. The firmware/Wi-Fi settings are kept in a small serial flash nearby. It is a custom part with no public datasheet.
