PS4 loud fan and overheating: clean and repaste
A PS4 that sounds like a jet engine, pulses red or shuts itself off is almost always clogged with dust, has dried-out thermal paste, or has a worn fan. Check ventilation first, then strip it down, clean the fan and heatsink, replace the paste and refit the heatsink clamp evenly.

PS4 no picture / no signal: HDMI port and HDMI encoder chip
A PS4 that turns on to a white light but shows nothing on the TV usually has a resolution/HDCP mismatch, a damaged HDMI socket, or a failed HDMI encoder chip. Start with Safe Mode and cable checks, then inspect and replace the port. If shorts remain on the HDMI lines afterwards, the encoder chip (commonly the Panasonic MN864729 on later boards) is the next suspect.

PS4 blue light of death (pulsing blue, no boot)
The 'blue light of death' is a PS4 that pulses blue and never reaches the white light, often with no picture. Many cases come down to the hard drive, cables, the TV or the power supply, and Sony's own first checks cover these. Where those fail, the fault is usually on the board (APU or southbridge). That's specialist BGA work, and a reflow won't fix it.
