About this component
Sets the MCU's 16 MHz system clock together with two small load capacitors. If it fails or a joint cracks, the board looks dead and will not accept uploads even though power and the USB chip are fine. Replace it with a 16 MHz crystal of the same footprint; a slightly different load capacitance does no harm for this use. Part variants: The Nano 2.3 BOM lists Abracon ABL-16.000MHZ-B2 (HC-49/US, ±20 ppm); the 3.x part is not published.
