About this component
The VDC generates the tile background and sprites (64 on screen, 16 per line) from external VRAM over a 16-bit bus, outputting a 9-bit pixel stream of colour and palette indices to the HuC6260. Like the Master System and NES video chips, it descends from the TI TMS9918 line. The SuperGrafx uses two of them. Custom part with no public datasheet.
