About this component
The VCE takes the HuC6270's pixel stream, looks up colours in its palette RAM (512-colour master palette) and produces the video timing and colour output that feeds the console's video circuitry. Since it generates the display timing, a failed VCE can give no picture at all even when the CPU and VDC are working.
