About this component
Feeds the board's VIN rail through a series rectifier diode that blocks reverse polarity, then the 5 V linear regulator. When this supply is present, a comparator and P-channel MOSFET switch off the USB 5 V feed automatically. A dead jack input with USB still working points to the jack, the series diode or the regulator.
