About this component

The 6507 is a cost-reduced 6502 with the same instruction set but only 8 KB of address space and no IRQ or NMI inputs. In the 2600 its clock comes from the TIA, and the TIA pulls its RDY line to stall the CPU until the start of the next scanline (WSYNC), which is how games lock to the TV beam. Part variants: Same CPU (Atari number CO10745) across all regions and revisions.

What it does on this board

6502-derived CPU @1.19MHz with a reduced address bus.
