About this component
The only external main RAM on the Wii board is 64 MB of GDDR3 (MEM2), shared by Broadway and the GPU; Starlet's IOS reserves 12-16 MB of it. The '88 MB' in the seed adds the 24 MB of 1T-SRAM that sits inside the Hollywood package and is not a separate board chip. An early teardown identified the GDDR3 as Qimonda (formerly Infineon). Memory faults normally show as no video or crashes at boot.
