About this component
AICA plays up to 64 voices of PCM/ADPCM audio with effects, under control of its own ARM7DI core running at about 2.8 MHz from 2 MB of dedicated SDRAM. It connects to Holly over the G2 bus and also holds some video-output configuration registers. Faults here show as no or distorted sound, and the AICA-to-SDRAM routing differs between VA1 and VA2.1 boards.
