About this component
The south bridge links to the APU over PCI Express x4 and to Syscon over SPI. Its EMC core handles boot and power sequencing; the EAP core keeps networking, downloads and storage running in rest mode. It has its own 256 MB DDR3 and 256 MB serial flash. Faults here can stop the console booting even when the APU is healthy. Part variants: Aeolia CXD90025G on CUH-10xx/11xx (SAA-001, SAB-001); Belize CXD90036G on CUH-12xx (SAC-001), Slim CUH-20xx and Pro CUH-70xx; Belize 2 CXD90046GG and Baikal CXD90042GG on later Slim/Pro boards.
