About this component

The LCD Steam Deck uses four 4 GB LPDDR5 packages next to the APU, one per 32-bit channel, for 16 GB in total running at 5500 MT/s (about 88 GB/s). The memory is soldered and shared between CPU and GPU, so it cannot be upgraded. A failing package or joint usually shows as a failure to POST or memory-training loops, and needs BGA rework. Part variants: Micron part from iFixit's chip ID. Other memory vendors may appear in other production runs; not confirmed.
