About this component
The PinePhone's application processor, running mainline Linux. It controls the LPDDR3, eMMC, display, cameras, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth over SDIO/UART and the modem over USB. It sits under an RF shield, and from board 1.2a onwards thermal pads link that shield to the screen and back cover, because the phone can run hot. It is a BGA part, so repair is limited to its supplies and peripherals.
