About this component
The two RDRAM chips sit next to the Emotion Engine and form its main memory. Each chip has its own 16-bit channel running at 400 MHz (PC800-class, double data rate). On the last slim revisions (SCPH-7900x onwards) the main RAM is reported to be merged into the EE package, so there are no separate RDRAM chips on those boards.
