About this component
The BQ24193 charges the Switch battery from the USB-C input and feeds the system rail through its power path; in reverse it can boost the battery to 5 V for the dock/USB host side. It is commonly lost together with the M92T36 USB-C controller after a faulty dock or third-party charger, leaving a console that will not charge. Check for a short on VBUS, SYS and BAT before replacement; it is a small 4x4 mm QFN that needs hot-air rework.
